Audited Supplier Sterilizing & Disinfecting Glutaraldehyde Solution should be used for sterilization of medical instruments. Glutaraldehyde solution is an alternative method of sterilization.
However, using caution is important for human safety. A high-level sterilizing solution used to immerse medical instruments for at least 3-10 hours.
Also, the Glutaraldehyde solution destroys all pathogenic micro-organisms except for large numbers of bacterial endospores.
Glutaraldehyde solution has a shelf-life of 14-days. It is a product that may be reused per instructions. The sterilizing and disinfecting solution has to be activated with the attached Activators.
Clean bodily fluids and blood from hard non-porous surfaces before the application of disinfectant or sterilant. Medical personnel may re-use solution, however, it is mandatory to be compliant by performing a paper test strip before reusing the solution. It is also mandatory to discard the sterilizing and disinfecting Glutaraldehyde solution lower than 1.8%.
